This as extreme inclement weather conditions persist across the province.Provincial Transport spokesperson Unathi Binqose says the weather poses a risk to road infrastructure.
Binqose says, “We are keeping a close eye on the affected mountain passes by this unusual snowfall, those passes are in the Karoo, Graaf Reinet area. Of course, these rains are also posing challenges to our road infrastructure particularly in rural areas so we are calling on road users to be extra vigilant at all times.”
The Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality says roads are getting flooded following heavy rains, which started around midnight.
