Earnings playbook: Disney and this home improvement giant are slated to report as the season winds down

Of the nine S & P 500 companies scheduled to post their third-quarter results, Home Depot and Disney are among them. Investors will look to these results for clues on whether the stock market's postelection rally can continue. Thus far more than 450 S & P 500 names have posted their results. Of those, 74% have beaten earnings expectations, per FactSet. Below is a breakdown of what to expect from some of the S & P 500 members slated to report. All times are Eastern.

The bank last week raised its price target to $140 from $120, implying upside of 13.8%. "LYV remains our preferred exposure to strong consumer demand for live events and concerts. While less stadium activity in 3Q drives '24 slightly lower ... an improved '25 outlook drives up estimates & PT," the bank wrote. What history shows: Live Nation shares have risen after the last four earnings releases, per Bespoke.
