EMILY GLASSCOCK CITY OF ENTERPRISE Local business owners and Enterprise Chamber of Commerce members joined Mayor William E. Cooper for a proclamation signing recognizing Saturday, Nov. 30, as Small Business Saturday in the City of Progress.

Small Business Saturday is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2024. The annual event, which was founded by American Express, takes place the Saturday following Thanksgiving, and encourages consumers to support small, local businesses. According to the U.S. Small Business Association, the reported projected spending in the United States from those who shopped at small businesses on SBS 2023 was around $17 billion.
