A Canadian insurance company, Co-operators, has launched a pilot project aiming to recycle waste from weather-related insurance claims instead of sending it to landfills. The initiative will be tested in Calgary and London, Ontario, with the support of the Circular Innovation Council and local recycling companies. Following major weather events, homes can become filled with waste that currently ends up in landfills.
