Nano One, a cleantech company specializing in the low-cost, low-GHG production of lithium-ion battery cathode active materials, has been granted seven new patents, bringing its total for 2024 to 11 and its historical total to 48. The company has over 56 additional patent applications pending in jurisdictions worldwide. These patents strengthen Nano One's intellectual property portfolio, enhance shareholder value, and solidify its technological advantage in the dynamic battery market.

The newly granted patents cover a range of innovative technologies, including: a high-voltage spinel LNMO cathode material for batteries with enhanced durability, a novel method for forming cathode materials with protective coatings in a single processing step, a unique kiln design for efficient calcination of cathode active materials, a novel lithiated NMC precursor material prepared using Nano One's One-Pot process, and an innovative one-pot method for forming a novel coating on NMC, nickel-rich NMC, and LNMO cathode materials to improve their stability and durability in lithium-ion batteries
