Butterworth turns into ‘open market’ for drugs

A residential area in Ujung Batu, Butterworth, where drugs are sold openly and where addicts ‘hang out’ in broad daylight next to a primary school. – The Malaysian Insight pic, August 7, 2019.

THERE is a different kind of market which starts business early in the morning in Ujung Batu, Butterworth, which unlike the normal wet market, is causing major concerns for locals. Among the drugs sold openly here are syabu , ganja and heroin.
