The government’s anti-red tape body has commended the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for the agency's service and support in the implementation of the Ease of Doing Business Law.

The government’s anti-red tape body has commended the Land Transportation Office for the agency’s service and support in the implementation of the Ease of Doing Business Law.Anti-Red Tape Authority Director General Jeremiah Belgica awarded a Certificate of Commendation to LTO Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante in Quezon City on Friday.

Belgica added that though the LTO has been receiving many complaints, it was also the agency that received the most number of praises for its continuous improvements in its system. The agency, through the LTO-National Capital Region West, was able to collect more than a billion pesos through its online payment system alone since it was introduced in October 2018.

This online payment system is currently being implemented in LTO NCR-West and Regional Office 3, and will soon be installed in other regional offices across the country.
