The word 'holiday' used to refer to uninterrupted time away from the office. But since the office has changed in meaning, so has the holiday

Share to twitterTwo-thirds of business owners check their emails every day whilst on holiday, according to research carried out by the American Express Business Platinum Card last month. Whilst this may sound like a lot, I’d wager that the rest are kidding themselves. Or don’t go on holiday. Business owners check their emails every day.

She admits that she too checks her emails while away, but “it doesn’t feel like a chore because I love what I do. I'll turn off push notifications and take time to myself, sure, but I still have the power to choose how and when I respond.”, following results of an Investec study that found business owners did not prioritise their own health and wellbeing as much as they prioritised the health and wellbeing of their teams.
