A long-running tax dispute is racking up a potentially hefty price tag of nearly $2 billion and counting for dozens of big U.S. companies, including Facebook Inc. and Alphabet Inc.

And why should Tech companies be able to circumvent their liability by using tax shelters or 'made up' GOP tax exemptions when it just provides them with a MOTIVE to 'materially aid' one political party to get re-elected, e.g., using 'bots' to unduly condition voters?

At some point, they have to pay some kind of tax too.
