LillyLyle Whiney IMHO

Nearly a million people will visit the market. And all the Guardian can do is whine. How sad.

Edinburgh is a suffocating dull place. Go to Glasgow if you must go to Scotland.

Going to the Christmas market in Edinburgh is one of my fondest memories growing up. They might be kitsch, but they aren't permanent

Note: Description Should Be Heightened Bling Rather Than Tacky.

one of the reasons I left Edinburgh

I went to Edinburgh in '89 and '93. Lovely memories. All this over-tourism is turning such experiences to shit.

People are upset because for two years they have built a huge scaffolding structure in a public park without planning permission... Nobody knows if it is structurally safe the Edinburgh city council has allowed Underbelly to behave like untouchable gangsters.
