Training and competing with the Los Angeles Lakers didn't leave Bryant with much spare time, so he used helicopters to get around the notoriously trafficky city in order to maximize his time with his family. From training and competition with the Los Angeles Lakers to his incessant pursuit of business ventures, book deals, and media projects, the late NBA legend was constantly on the go.

Since his playing days, Bryant had traveled around Los Angeles via helicopter in order to best balance his time between family and basketball. "I had to figure out a way where I could still train and focus on the craft but still not compromise family time," Bryant said. "And so that's when I looked into helicopters."

"My wife was like 'Listen, I can pick [the kids] up,' and I'm like 'No, no, no. I want to do that,' because you have road trips and times like that when you don't see your kids." he added. "So every chance I get to see them and spend time with them, even if it's 20 minutes in a car, I want that."
