The Air Itam market is one of the oldest markets in Penang island and is usually crowded even before the movement control order was put in place. “Although there is still a lack of compliance in terms of maintaining social distancing of one metre, the situation here is about 70 per cent better compared to the last few days,” he said.

Seriously people.. do you need to go to the pasar everyday! Just buy enough to last at least a week! Cook simple no big feasting so you don’t need too much raw ingredients!

It is a heavy density area. The Air Itam market is an old traditional type. Very challenging to organise how to implement social distancing. The stalls are both inside small market and along the road. The city council has already issue order to close but... sigh
We are not fighting only with virus but also human stupidity and stubbornness
