As of May 5th, 2020, a bill to provide temporary off-sale rights of cans to craft breweries was introduced to the Minnesota House of Representatives by Representative Liz Olson and Representative Sydney Jordan. One brewer, who asked not to be named for fear of reprisal, said that he was “warned” by a friend at a local wholesaler not to speak too loudly in favor of breweries getting the ability to sell four and six packs to-go, because closed door conversations between the wholesaler and a local liquor store made it known that the liquor store would not order from any breweries that spoke out against the laws.
