Jared Kushner dismisses NBA strike by saying players are 'very fortunate' to be able to 'take a night off from work'

In a CNBC interview Thursday morning, White House senior adviser Jared Kushner dismissed NBA players refusing to play in a protest against police violence following theKushner, who is also President Trump's son-in-law, skirted a question on whether the White House will support the players in their mid-playoff strike.

Kushner also delivered a backhanded compliment to the players, who could have their contracts terminated because they are not allowed to strike under the league's collective bargaining agreement with the players' union. "Look, I think with the NBA, there's a lot of activism and I think they've put a lot of slogans out," he said. "But I think what we need to do is turn that from slogans to actual action that's going to solve the problem."

In addition to the NBA, the WNBA players — who have been consistently vocal on issues of social justice and support for the Black Lives Matter movement — alsoElsewhere in Trumpworld on CNN, Vice President Mike Pence's Chief of Staff, Marc Short, called the strikes "absurd and silly." This guy is the asshole villian in a Batman movie......

What an idiot!

hollyrpeete Ignorance at its best.

So what. I also suspect he takes the night off more than occasionally.

He doesn’t get it .

I think Jared should take a night off.

The NBA players should go and look for a real job in the real world with real salaries and see if some wisdom will come down on them very quickly.

He is unintentionally making a very profound argument for both a UBI and unions and he doesn’t even know it. It shouldn’t put ANYONES lives at risk to take a night off of work.

😜RELAX AND ENJOY THE TUNE😜 Your welcome to share it if you enjoyed it😁👍

Okay..but Kushner is work today! Wealthy or not, he & IvankaTrump are working FULL-TIME. Let’s be real. Having money doesn’t mean you are a villain, especially when the point is... Walking-off from your job isn’t a real-life solution! This isn’t the way to inspire real change

NBA players are ‘very fortunate’ to have the ‘moral character’ and ‘human empathy’ to stop playing games in response to human suffering; concepts inconceivable to Jared and those of his ilk. Jared says we need 'actual action that’s gonna solve the problem'. So, VOTE‼️

So he’s against peaceful protest? Make your mind up. A clown where he is because of rampant nepotism.

Sick!

Like he works 😂😂😂.

You forgot to add “Financially”

Smh the devil!

We need to give these grifters a permanent vacation.

hollyrpeete

You can just feel the smugness from that face. Where’s a cast iron frying pan when you need one? (Cut to Looney Tunes music)

Agree ... so blessed in this country but yet people still complain.

“Lots of emotions but no solutions.” = MSM Ratings. Or a lawyers favorite client.

More of a reason for them to do so because it’s harder for those that can’t. Another meaningless comment with no solutions.

they’re whiny millionaires upset that sometimes people that break the law put police in situations where they have no choice but to shoot them.

Boy Kushner really hits the Nail. Exactly the reason the Wealthy have moved our families to two wage earners. They want that financial Chain on Every wage earner Every Second.

He’s right

i still think he is a creation of Westworld

Thank you for finally calling it a strike.

Well I’ll be! Where are u off to on taxpayers dime?

hollyrpeete Racist who approve of anarchy in the streets would like to be able to come home to drink beer and watch their favorite sport and complain black athletes aren't giving effort or worthy of their contracts to reinforce their racist views.

All that’s missing from this interview is the description of the permanent silver spoon that projects from Jared’s mouth. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

So I heard that at a BLM rally the other day, a basketball game broke out...

Igor gives me shivers.

hollyrpeete Coming from a racist 💩 who’s raping & pillaging the USA!!

Says a man whose only qualification to have his current job is being the president’s SON IN-LAW.

But it doesn't really solve anything!

Such a good little Robot. JaredKushnerIsARobot

hollyrpeete Kushner is in Netanyahu's pocket and cannot be trusted

hollyrpeete

jaredkushner looks like a sociopath murderer too sooo.....

Lmao he's a great troll. I'll give him that.

They will say ANYTHING to get people's attention off of WHY people are protesting.

hollyrpeete Has Jared actually worked any other job, other than the ones his FIL has given him, in the past 4 years?

LOL read the room much?

😂

I wonder when the last time he took a night off

What a scary picture

Fck Jared Kushner.

He's right

More people watch 90 Day Fiance.
