Penang morning market closed for flouting SOP

THE Pekan Penaga morning market in Kepala Batas, Penang, will not be allowed to operate next week after an inspection conducted today found the management failed to comply with the standard operating procedures stipulated under the recovery movement-control order. North Seberang Perai district police chief Noorzainy Mohd Noor said police, along with several other agencies including the Health Ministry and Seberang Perai City Council conducted an inspection at 9am today and found the management and visitors defying SOPs.
