Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad said that among the exemptions included the rebates in quit rent.

“Recently, I announced a rebate for taxpayers on quit rent where for this year, they will enjoy a 15% rebate, for 2021 it is 10% while for 2022, it is 5%.

He said Johor had provided various new initiatives in its efforts to help the state’s economy recover and improve the rakyat’s quality of life. Hasni said for property owners who did not pay quit rent for 2020, it will be considered as arrears and a late payment penalty will be charged starting from that date.
