Due to President Trump's aggressive campaign discouraging mail voting, Republicans are far more likely than Democrats to vote in-person on Election Day.Data from the US Elections Projects shows that over 17.7 million voters cast a ballot as of October 15, a number that makes up nearly 13% of the total votes counted in the 2016 presidential election.
Nineteen days out from the election, all states have begun sending out mail ballots to voters who requested them, and in-person early voting is underway in 25 states.
