PM: Malaysia welcomes RCEP signing, a game changer to investment flow

In his intervention during the 23rd Asean-China Summit today, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the signing of the RCEP will reflect Malaysia’s unwavering support for the multilateral trading system and regional integration. Muhyiddin also stressed that focus should be given to promoting trade and investment and maintaining the regional and global supply chains by tapping into the digital economy.

Further in his speech, Muhyiddin acknowledged the vital role of the digital economy in reviving the region’s economies as it will contribute to more job opportunities and encourage growth and business sustainability, especially for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises sector.
