Human rights groups say the Xinjiang forced labor bill will likely be passed as huge companies like Nike and Coca-Cola lobby against it

are just some oppression tactics the Chinese government reportedly use on Muslim minorities.

The bill could pass the Senate and become law by either the Trump or Biden administration, congressional staff members said. Scott Nova, executive director of the Workers Rights Consortium, which is part of the coalition, told Business Insider: "There are very few members of Congress who want to be seen opposing this legislation."

Nova noted there is a conspicuous absence of cotton from Nike's list. Textiles and yarn production make up only a small part of China's overall production, according to Nova.

SimonintheZoo The sanctions against the rogue CCP should not be just a formal statement, nor should it be just a statement. It should include the family members of the sanctioned CCP personnel. It should have a real impact on CCP personnel. Otherwise, all sanctions are just fake performances.

Why do these companies lobby against it? Hmmm...

How can any company lodge against a bill to do business in an area where forced separation, and sterilisation of Uighur women and other oppression tactics the Chinese government reportedly use on Muslim minorities. It’s literally like a concentration camp. Remember I.G. Faben..

How about free Joshua Wong, Agnes Chow, Jimmy Lai and those others while at it before they get organ harvested now that they are prisoners under CCP soldiers? They'll be dead within a year from 'natural cause' they will say. Military extraction operation.
