PUTRAJAYA: A company manager was arrested for allegedly submitting documents containing false information to secure a project worth RM8.9mil from a ministry.

The suspect, a Datuk, was believed to have submitted the document for a tender to supply food at a government institution.

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission sources said the tender was for a two-year project beginning 2018. It is understood that the 38-year-old suspect was arrested at the MACC headquarters at noon on Wednesday .Putrajaya MACC director Hasbilah Mohamad Salleh confirmed the arrest and said that the case is being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act.
