The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines stresses that it does not have any authority over power companies that contributed to the rotational brownouts in parts of Luzon this week.

, NGCP spokesperson Cynthia Alabanza explained that some power plants failed to give notice prior to their shutdown, prompting rotational power interruptions in the region.
