Dale Copley is set for a surprise return to the Roosters to reinforce Trent Robinson's injury-ravaged backline stocks.
Copley has emerged as the Tricolours' preferred choice in the player market after Manly's Jorge Taufua and Tevita Funa were considered as potential immediate signings. Neither club has made an official comment on Copley's status but Robinson confirmed on Tuesday he was in the market for an outside back after long-term injuries to Brett Morris , Billy Smith , Joseph Suaalii and Matt Ikuvalu .
A similar system was used last season to help reinforce the Warriors' relocated NRL squad, but Brown indicated on Wednesday that the club would not be taking up any more loan players at this stage.
