Energy companies in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico continued to restart following the combined hit from hurricanes Nicholas and Ida.

About 23% of U.S. Gulf of Mexico crude oil production was still shut on Friday, according to regulator Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement , about three weeks after Hurricane Ida hit platforms in the region.

U.S. Gulf Coast crude oil exports are flowing again after the storms took out 26 million barrels of offshore production, according to sources and Refinitiv Eikon data.
