It comes a day after restrictions eased in New South Wales, with Premier Dominic Perrottet expressing hope the days of statewide lockdowns are over.
"There's a number of factors that will go into those considerations... test numbers, hospitalisation numbers and vaccination rates," the premier said. “We expect the summer will be a bumper time for businesses as the people of NSW emerge from lockdown and look to support their local, and we want business owners to know we have their back.”
The state's JobSaver program has also been extended until 1 December, when restrictions relax and unvaccinated customers are allowed to access retail. More than 80 per cent of the population is predicted to be fully vaccinated as soon as next Monday, the next threshold for easing restrictions.

We are not safe until 95% of the total population are vaxxed and we have quarantine facilities fit for purpose when we open to overseas travellers.

Looks like the Covidiots out there are getting message to getting vaccinated and following health orders. What a pity it is that so many people had to die to get to this point. There are a lot of folk out there who should be ashamed of their behaviour.

Has anyone asked why we couldn’t wait until these case numbers had got down to say 50 or less? More would be vaccinated as well. Lockdown is working but business is in too much of a hurry to boost its profits.
