Australia is the latest country to regulate crypto currency as part of a major overhaul of the payments industry.

Sky News Australia discussed the issue with RMIT Senior Research Fellow Aaron Lane, who said a Senate fintech committee became concerned over issues such as “regulatory certainty” in the crypto market.

“It did not start out looking at cryptocurrency … but over time he committee really zeroed into cryptocurrency and the wider blockchain industry in Australia,” he told Sky News Australia.
