Has anyone bothered to find out basic information on the horse? Like how old it was, the general health before it died, pre-existing conditions? Nothing like knee-jerk reactions to reach the right decision.
We get these same crackpots trying to shut down the rodeo at the Calgary stampede each year, it’s part of our culture,so piss off.

The reasons for dropping dead aren't exclusive to carriage horses, and carriage work doesn't cause horses to drop dead. Quite the opposite: carriage horses often live to 30 and beyond (better expectancy than any other industry, including standing in a field). Necropsy please.
One horse dies and we uproot the whole system. Walk to the next corner and avoid eye contact with the homeless. People are so selective of where they chose to fake their outrage with social media.
why ban it now or in 2019? if more checks are needed by a vet, do that instead of banning. next we will have spas for horses. what do you think will happen to the horses that are no longer needed?
