According to the Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Abiola Kabiru, Tajiri is a digitally driven socio-economic empowerment project focused on empowering the youths and creating jobs for graduates and artisans in Africa.
He explained that Tajiri, a Swahili language, which means ‘wealth’ or ‘prosperity’ is on a mission to unlock the African economic population by building an ecosystem that would facilitate the possibility to do businesses with one another. So, we want to use Tajiri to explore the decentralised blockchain technology in order to facilitate business. The focus is to create an Africa open economy, a decentralised ecosystem such that it would be possible to do businesses across border, making payments or Remita and exchange values easily.”
