Driving school owners say they will continue with their protest action at drivers licence testing stations around Pretoria.

They say technical issues are adversely affecting their clients, and they want to go back to the manual system. On Monday Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula warned that unruly behaviour would not be tolerated and that law enforcement officials would deal harshly with those causing disruption.Meanwhile, a number of Driver License Testing Centres across Gauteng are still not operational due to an ongoing strike by driving school operators.

In Johannesburg, a few DLTCs have opened. These include Langlaagte, Randburg, Roodepoort and Sandton. Driving school operators are aggrieved about the online booking systems introduced in 2018 aimed at cutting long queues and eliminating corruption at the centres.

Although the online system isn't perfect its definitely better than the corrupt gatekeeping between the driving school operators and DLTC officials.

It's their right. Let them continue.
