Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young says gas companies are making windfall profits as they “take Australia for a ride”.

“It’s time they paid more tax, it’s time there was a super profits tax in place, and they stopped rorting the system,” she told Sky News Australia.

“It is price gouging – it’s really holding Australians and households and businesses, particularly small businesses, to ransom.”

At Last something Sensible coming out of your mouth !

SHY thinks money grows on trees.

Yes, correct. Aust needs to put a stop to such exploitation & put levies on gas exports.

She has no clue? What a tool!!

US sanctions are destroying EU. Look at the sanctioned countries with gas, Iran and Russia for two. Australia has .4% of gas reserves, dont let US currency manipulations via energy resources harm Australian's lives through orchestrated inflation.

For once skynews are telling the truth. Gas & coal companies HAVE BEEN taking us for a ride and the LNP opened the flood gates for them to make massive profits at our expense. Guess who sits on the board of these companies? former LNP ministers.

Wrong. When govts actively talk the sector down, what else would you expect? The world is gagging for our gas, but our govts say the don’t want it… now they lament that supply follows demand and there isn’t enough here? Can’t make this shit up.

sarahinthesen8 AdamBandt I suggest Tax to Resource takers of 60% for Export 20% for domestic. Float that & see how fast things change for Australian Consumers !

This is what happens when there is demand for reliable base-load power generation. People like electricity, even though the greens don’t. All those millions of Australian superannuation fund members enjoying high returns. Unless you put your money into a green ESG fund.

Scam after scam!

She's right.

It’s green policies that have let to higher energy prices around the world. If you don’t finance or approve exploration the supply side doesn’t keep up with demand! It’s very simple.

Sky News may as well interview a potato for its insights into the global energy market and Australia's export infrastructure. These gas companies didn't invest billions of dollars in the hope they could provide cheap gas into Australia's tiny market.

Blackrock and Soros control all media globally. They are the WEF funders like Gates. All media pretending to be news are disgusting and should be behind bars with the other animals
