'Shave a few minutes off your shower and save lots of litres', Thames Water urged

urged people to “squeeze that shower” to help avoid the taps running dry across the city.

The company added: “As this long dry spell goes on, there’s less water to go around – you might have also seen on the news that we’re heading into another hot spell. As hosepipe bans are imposed across the country, people are also urged to “use a watering can instead of the hosepipe” and to “let the grass go brown” where they can.
