The shutters are down and signs removed

Less than a year since it opened, the team behind Brexit Burger have confirmed it has closed. from the burger joint in Alfreton Road.

Despite the name, it was not opened as a political statement but, rather, as a talking point. The business is based between the former Clarence Hotel and Carmangeria Romaneasca shop. While all the signs have been removed, the shop is still painted a vivid blue shade. Romanian couple, Florin Radu and Mara Marin, opened the restaurant in October 2021.It offered a range of takeaway options including burgers, pizza and chicken. Florin also owns and manages a grocery store which is across from the takeaway. There were a number of European and international dishes on the menu.

They included lamb curry, chicken tikka, and stir-fries. The pizzas also included spicy diavola, quattro formaggi, tuna and margherita.

What an apt metaphor.

Good who wants anything to do with Brexit when itโ€™s massively failing
