Heirloom tomatoes are not all red, this is nothing more than cross breeding, try a Black Krim tomato one time or a Kentucky Orange I grew a dozen varieties at a time so cross pollination happens & has had a few cool results
Why? I’ve seen similar Heirloom tomatoes that I would bet taste way better. I’ve never tasted a GMO tomato that tasted better than any heirloom variety. And neither has anyone else.
