The 6x6 mall on Market Street has landed another tenant to join Ikea.

New York co-working company Industrious appears to be opening a location at San Francisco's long-vacant 6x6 mall, which is being redeveloped by Ikea sister company Ingka Centres.

Industrious, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday, will be the mall's second tenant. The mall —It is unclear when the mall will open, as the timeline was pushed back previously and Ingka did not respond to my inquiries. that includes new yellow frame on the main window above the mall entrance, a new retail display window and a new pedestrian bridge. Gensler is the architect.The property's original developer, Cypress Equities, secured an allocation for the office space on the upper floors after delivering the mall in 2017 but never leased the space. in 2019 for $179 million, but the developers' plans to create space for life sciences uses within the mall never came to fruition.
