A business owner has slammed the council and says Glasgow should be named ‘pothole city’ after her car was damaged when she drove through one on Nitshill Road last week.
Cllr Salih said: “I have already contacted the council to repair Nitshill Road and have been told it will be resurfaced in March 2023 and added to the work of programme.” “They have done a lot of digging but they’ve damaged all the road and just left it like that. GlasgowCC yknow the sad reality is it'll take a fatality on these roads with these potholes for something to be done about them.
North and east Glasgow roads are in a despicable state of repair and GCC has done absolutely nothing to rectify it.
I drive a taxi in the north Lanarkshire area and I’ve had lots of Glasgow hires due to the train strikes recently. NL is bad but Glasgow is next level. There’s potholes there than almost take up the entire side of the road. Total disgrace
Too little too late GCC does it take a serious accident or fatalities before you do something about it. The southside Pollok/Nitshill/Darnley areas are a disgrace and the side roads are just as bad. Anyone trying to make a claim for tyres/car damage all claims are rejected.
