Tesla’s Autopilot was once groundbreaking technology. But in a recent ranking by Consumer Reports, which tested advanced driver assistance systems from 12 different carmakers, Tesla’s ranked seventh and Ford’s BlueCruise was in the top spot.

Tesla’s Autopilot, which at its core combines lane keeping assist with traffic aware cruise control to help guide a car down a highway, was once groundbreaking technology. But today more than half of new vehicles are available with similar advanced driver assistance systems, or ADAS. And in a recent ranking by Consumer Reports, which tested ADAS from 12 different carmakers, Tesla’s ranked seventh. The best such system, according to Consumer Reports, is Ford’s BlueCruise.

More advanced features, such as automated lane changes, which are available in some systems, were not evaluated. Tesla’s “Full Self Driving” optional feature, which promises to one day provide assistance in a broad range of situations including urban driving, was not evaluated in these tests. Attempts to email Tesla with questions about Consumer Reports’ assessments were unsuccessful. Tesla does not generally respond to media queries.

And now Tesla removed the sensors and radar in model 3 & Y before having a workable replacement… 🙄 idiotic. Yes I like Tesla and drive a 3 yo M3 and have ordered a MY but considering to cancel it because of the sensors… 😫

elonmusk What’s up with this

😂😂😂

CNN is off the mark. No other driver assist is anywhere near Tesla’s. I’m not saying others can’t help with lame assist and traffic aware cruise. Tesla does way more than that.

Did you see who donates to CR foundation? If you guessed Ford, you’d be right!

Ford Tesla

Anti Tesla FUD again from CNN. Tesla FSD is is semi-autonomous. Blues Clues allows the car to drive on certain highways. You are comparing a Tesla calculator with a Ford abacus.

🤣

tick tock tick tock elonmusk

Could be true, but needs a serious review because CNN reported it, coz CNN has lost all its credibility!

I've done my own independent research and have determined that I will definitely purchase a Tesla as early as this summer.

Running ads for ford while shading musk for stealing your tech monopoly/journalism

Man o man; the entire machine is fired up and going after what was once celebrated; why? Because Elon let sunshine into a dark dirty corner of your world.

CNN hates Musk and Tesla. He called the media out for their bullshit and they are now on a mission to go after him.

Great... that's a bit of pure fantasy. Oh it's called telling lies.

😂🤣 🤡 Ranked 1 & 2 but can only be used on pre-mapped roads! Hilarious. Con-reports isn't even trying to hide their bias anymore 😆

Wooow, i soo love technology
