President Cyril Ramaphosa has implored the private sector to 'get off of the rooftops' and 'into the ring' with government as it works to address crippling issues related to energy, logistics and crime. | News24_Business

President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on business to get its hands dirty to help fix SA.Ramaphosa moved to reassure attendees at the Mining Indaba that government is determined to remove impediments to growth.President Cyril Ramaphosa has implored the private sector to"get off of the rooftops" and"into the ring" with government as it works to address crippling issues related to energy, logistics and crime.

This does not mean that business should not be critical, but it must help to find solutions too."The response I am seeing among you - I know that indeed you are willing and ready to be our partners, and I applaud you for that," the president said. With this aim, government has launched a National Energy Action Plan to improve the performance of its existing power stations and to add new generation capacity to the grid as quickly as possible.

A critical area of reform is in logistics, where the Minerals Council of South Africa and Transnet have now partnered to stabilise and restore the operational performance of rail lines and ports.

_Business South Africa is one of the most corrupt countries in the world and now the ANC and the President want the private sector to bale them out of a problem they caused with all their corruption, which is still continuing. The only solution is to get rid of the ANC.

_Business So he’s going to privatise our Eskom !!!

_Business As part of crime - does fraud and theft from within government ranks form part of his request

_Business How can the private sector work with the incompetent government that got us here, the only solution is to remove the ANC from power

_Business Just allow the sector to privatise, there is too many syndicates in ESKOM that the policing minister does not seem to be able to overcome.

_Business ANCParliament how many times were the private sector shot down when they came with solutions? Now you moaning

_Business Not the private businesses or companies to help generate power.. it is in our constitution, it is a right, and the ruling government have to do their job..

_Business It’s all your fault why is the ANC not taking ownership

_Business Why would they? A few years ago South32 and BHP Billiton provided thousands of jobs with very generous salaries and what happened? They were forced to replce existing leaders with black ones or Eskom cancels contracts

_Business let me push back my solar and I'll help gladly !!!!!!!

_Business This is the fate of fools, though they are remembered as being wise. Interlude Psalms 49:13

_Business So give us our tax mo ies monthly, no more PAYE and VAT etc Then we will show your pathetic cANCer governmentvwhat can be done with tax money Then we don't need you ARE YOU WILLING TO DO THAT? I DOUBT IT VERY MUCH

_Business His evil plans are working perfect.1st he delibrately destroyed the energy sectors and then privatise thenlm to his relatives to make huge bucks so after resign hes still making the money..

_Business So by Admission the ANC has failed and wants business to save their sorry asses.

_Business 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The ANC is just all about Audacity

_Business Say what now!!!!! The person who cannot curb theft and corruption in the ANC and Eskom is trying to goad private companies into providing more funds to be looted or donated to the charletons of this country. CyrilRamaphosa Dear President start in your own party kick the corrupt.

_Business What does that even mean?

_Business Why doesn't the Government get off the roof tops and step onto the ground among the people !

_Business It's all good that they wrote a letter but it would be better if they pledge to us the public, their customers, that they will not pay their next provisional tax including the income tax of their employees & VAT as a demonstration(strike) if their suggestions are not met.

_Business

_Business So who is the PresidencyZA? Aren't you supposed to be the leader and run the country CyrilRamaphosa? Just admit MYANC is incapable of running things and resign and let someone else do it.

_Business Get the DA in power for 1 term!! Ffs...change the leadership

_Business This is a joke! What's his family doing to build SA?

_Business Partnership with Government on what base…private sector give and government controls?

_Business That is a truly pathetic statement!

_Business President your businesses form part of the private sector..so pls do jump into the ring as well

_Business Nope, you will not get hands on those enterprises.

_Business Now the private sector must bail out governments incompetence! Typical.. Why not go rename a city, that'll fix it..

_Business The 'Private Sector' Is Tired Of This So Called 'Goverment'How Do You Invest In a 'DEAD HORSE'

_Business We waiting in the ring for a long time. Where were you partying with the covid money? We done doing and seeing how you taking. Start doing then we will talk again. sit cyril. We will call you! Let the boys talk!

_Business It’s called deflection. ANC is the problem and we all know it.

_Business Who caused the energy crisis?

_Business So you not only want all our tax money to pay for these exact services, you want the private sector to save you.... fok dit!

_Business Revolution when?

_Business Private business don't want their money looted

_Business Who gets paid for and is responsible for what?

_Business Government is the biggest area of crime in the country...what an ironic appeal.

_Business South Africa is a country with diverse people and the economy of it is in the hands of minority of which they do not care for blacks in this country. In all sphears private sector of SA looks only to whites S/Africans followed by Coloured s and Indians

_Business Really while we are all doing solar and backups and having BEE pushed down our throats ! Maybe Government should focus on getting rid of corruption crime and regulations that are stopping out economy and investments ANCUSTGOEFFMUSTGO

_Business The only way to get our country going forward again is by becoming independent of government. Partnering with Gov will cost too much and take too long.

_Business It was his strategy to involve private sector so that he can benefit his allies 😁😜👀

_Business What a loser

_Business What a loser

_Business What a fucked up man he is, completely shadow of himself, disgrace, selfish looter

_Business Tell him 🖕

_Business He’s basically conceding to running an incompetent government. And yet no accountability is taken. Secondly private sectors are also affected by government failings. It starts and ends with the government.

_Business N admission of no plan in hand from govt

_Business Yes, business should get into the ring and help us give the ANC the knockout blow.

_Business Whats wrong with this guy. Gvt steals and we must clean up, ay no man

_Business Ramaphosa and the ANC criminal syndicate which he heads has destroyed South Africa by deploying ignorant corrupt cadres who focused on stealing as much as possible - but the private sector must now fix their f$&k up🤬🤬 Repeal all the racist policies or resign - problem solved!

_Business Stop begging and do your job, and you had better start realizing that SA belongs to us and not the anc. We have to turn left, but you will turn right all the time and fu,,, it up.

_Business This one is a joke of a president really

_Business They fund the entire sh1t show..they built the ring and the rooftops and were taxed on both. Cyril needs to sort out his mess, then see capital flow.

_Business How many businesses have closed thanks to the anc?

_Business That's right Cyril, blame the tax payers for the ANC looting, corruption, and incompetence that has bled this country dry for 27 years.

_Business I wouldnt get near the ANC. If you're still winning in this country. Stay away from them

_Business Why is it always the private sector that has to bail-out government. Mistake after mistake, yet private sector needs to fix it all every time.

_Business Squirrel in the ring? He is yet to throw a punch

_Business The problem is that the country as a whole has been over regulated so even if buiseness wanted to get involved their hands are tied due to some regulation that has been implemented that stunts business

_Business Sorry Mr president I've given breaking my head.nobody except ur greedy comrades and cadres that fabricate ideas to defend u and ur PARTY.Its not what the country can do 4 u but what u can do for your country!!! Now

_Business Why must they support this criminal government that looted SA dry. So stop spreading shit!

_Business We need electricity Mr president

_Business He should give the entire thing to business, and he and the ANC should get on a rooftop and stay there.

_Business What BS talk is this? He is talking crap. If it wasn't for the private sector, we would all be gone! The private sector makes the money, and they waste and steal it.

_Business Private sector is now for years in the ring. Goverment are on rooftops and on the sideline

_Business Let's tackle the corruption first..

_Business I see the pot is throwing hands at the kettle again 🤦‍♂️

_Business You fucked up the country now you want others to fix it? Step down and take your corrupt thieves with you before we force you to. 💩💩💩💩💩💩

_Business Goal. Sithule siyabuka

_Business

_Business I did not vote for the ANC, so I am not complicit in creating the disaster. I have however installed solar. Just one more step of cutting these rulers out of my life. YOU Cyril fix your mess!

_Business He is a giant t wat

_Business Always blaming someone else, yes. It is the only strategy the ANC know. It is never their fault. Luckily Jan van Riebeeck can't be blamed for this crisis, as there were only candles those years.

_Business It is not only energy that needs to be fixed. Rail needs fixing! Unemployment needs fixing! Water supply needs fixing! Law and order needs fixing ! Local government needs fixing!

_Business Maybe a good start would be for the ANC to ‘get their fingers out of the cookie jar’ before looking at hard working tax payers and businesses 🤬

_Business Private sector, including many businesses that have had to shut down, to Cyril: Put SA ahead of ANC. Stop the stealing. Expedite prosecutions.

_Business What business is left? The ANC has crippled the economy

_Business How will the government reward the private sector? Threats to nationalize?

_Business He also told them to stop “moaning.”

_Business Private sector can’t work with thieves. Full stop.

_Business Where will these Black Power thugs allow the private sector to get involved? These things want BEE AA EE compliance and a cut of the deal which makes the situation dead in the water from the start! Involve these thugs in anything, a failure is guaranteed!

_Business CyrilRamaphosa what makes you think private sector is going to help? They have lost faith in you and the cANCer. SA is reaching the point of being unfixable.

_Business Too late cyril

_Business Ramaphosa must get rid of all racist rules if he wants business to get involved. While racist rules such as BEE exist there is no reason why any company should involve itself with racism and a corrupt incompetent ANC

_Business The best way to sort out the energy crisis is for the ANC to get off the roof tops and out of the ring of government and let the SA citizens (the private sector) govern ourselves. We surely couldn't do worse than the ANC.

_Business They who brought the country to shithole xtatus must now fall and stay in that shithole.

_Business Just so that you can “mismanage” their investment… ja, sure! 🤣🤣🤣

_Business We continue to implore the ANC to stop corruption in its ranks. And pay back the billions stolen.

_Business 😂

_Business The government should get out of the ring and go sit on the sidelines.

_Business Let the private sector fix it up for them to break it again 😂😂😂

_Business What a cheek

_Business They had 28 years...now they want us to build what they neglected...damm cheek they have

_Business To late, get out!

_Business Why not look at your corrupt, thieving cadres, and get rid of the deadwood.

_Business Ring of the mess that the ANC created.

_Business What a WOW

_Business Great idea that business must get involved. I suggest you let business run the procurement , issues tenders, and take control of treasury All infrastructure projects should also be handled by business. I think it’s a great idea Cyril. 👊🏿

_Business We pay our taxes to govt, NOT the PRIVATE SECTOR!

_Business How dare he, his corrupt ANC government created the energy crisis throuh BBBEE deployment and their greedy CORRUPT looting and aiding state capture, all people living in SA must do whats best for theselves, vote out ANC corrupt government

_Business Absolute nonsense Too much red tape legislation restrictive policies adding to BEE and affirmative action will take private money out of this country

_Business If only we could believe anything that Ramaphosa says. We know that nothing comes from his statements. Nobody can still take him serious.

_Business What a cheek anc destroyed the country and now they want private to fix it .

_Business Oh please! Now you want to blame businesses? They’ve been begging/trying/suggesting/advising on solutions to all our problems (despite trying to run businesses with hands tied behing back/crippling legislations/taxes etc - you’ve ignored all! Scared miss out on a kickback/fee?!

_Business Unbelievable shit housery by the ANC. Skin like rhinos these guys.

_Business Problem is private sector has such distrust of the Government!

_Business Maybe they would help if the government was not driven by corruption and lining their own pockets

_Business Government fat cats are stuck in the chimney MbalulaFikile Sona2023

_Business 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💩🧨
