“Healthy conversations can’t thrive when violent speech is used to deliver a message.'

“Healthy conversations can’t thrive when violent speech is used to deliver a message,” the new policy reads. “As a result, we have a zero tolerance policy towards violent speech in order to ensure the safety of our users and prevent the normalization of violent actions.” The new policy updates Twitter’s rules against incitement to explicitly ban encouragement of war crimes, genocide or crimes against humanity, along with the use of “dog whistles” in speech to evade detection and enforcement.

As before, Twitter reserves the right to immediately and permanently suspend any account violating the policy, and to impose temporary restrictions for less severe violations. As written, Twitter’s new policy could make interpretation of the rules somewhat more subjective than before. It also comes at a time when Twitter has less staff to review potential violations, following waves of layoffs under new owner Elon Musk.

Violence speech. ? Look at people beating people up do something about that

Is speech that anticipates violent result of an action, not in a threat of execution, but in result of circumstances otherwise out of one's circle of physical contact, considered a violation of this rule. Or is it up for interpretation? Ignorance over premeditation

John McIntyre, an American military veteran who fought a year in Ukraine as a mercenary, defected to Russia after witnessing actions of Ukrainian troops, and recounted 'being surprised, everybody had numerous tattoos and Nazi symbolism on their bodies.'

So Twitter is now a “peaceful” place. Yet You go outside and see violent people on the daily. I’m not a fan of censorship on any platform as it creates this illusion that people are kind. I’d prefer to see the truth over censored. I think it’s one step closer to full censorship😔

Never once got a scrape or a cut from speech

~ i’ve even been suspended for mentioning something about putin and they wouldn’t reconsider and for jokes that are misconstrued… i am quite the opposite of a violent person, but still gotta be careful what i write with my brutal honesty.😬

We'll see.

Wow... GQP goes up in arms over this new policy in 3... 2....

Currently, Iranian schools and Iranian students are under biological_terror attacks by the terrorist regime of the Islamic Republic. Hear our voice.

Violent speech silences any constructive conversation.

So why the is RepMTG still on Twitter posting her violent tweets?

elonmusk can you verify?

ah, but how do you define violent speech? I just hope it isn't anything against what you believe; and will it include anti-gun control

LoL. Violent speech. Get a grip.

he's becoming everything he once hated

Weird policy considering Elon opened up Twitter to all kinds of hateful and violent voices previously banned for exactly such things. This is more like a tool elonmusc is going to use against his critics, I'm sure of it.

someone needs to tell Biden and the left that..
