“Noong 2022 naman ay meron natapos na 136 farm-to-market roads all over the country,” NTF-ELCAC Secretariat executive director Ernesto Torres Jr. said at a televised public briefing.“Pero this is quite low dahil ang kabuuang farm-to-market road noong 2022 ay 846. So, 16% lang ang natapos as of this report,” he added.
Torres attributed the delay to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the national elections.According to him, the NTF-ELCAC will closely supervise the implementation of the projects to increase the completion rate.More projects are being finalized for 2023 and will be implemented in 959 barangays across the country, Torres said. —
