PETALING JAYA: The government should act against those who are trying to confuse the public over foreign worker recruitment, says a labour group.

National Association of Human Resources Malaysia president Zarina Ismail said recruitment issues should be left to industry players who were familiar with it to avoid such confusion.

"If the government is serious about addressing trafficking, this is a crucial part of the process that should be clear to everyone – from employers to agents to migrant workers," she told The Star on Monday .She was commenting on the purported introduction of a new foreign worker recruitment system known as"Sistem Pengambilan Pekerja Asing dan Pengurusan Sumber Manusia" or SPDRM.
