A temporary agreement has been reached between e-hailing drivers and the minibus taxi industry. Goodhope Ledwaba, founder of new e-hailing app, Shuma Drive - believes there are some long term solution to the war between the two industries. We speak to him for more.

JOHANNESBURG - The temporary agreement reached between e-hailing drivers and the minibus taxi industry in Soweto is not in the best interests of passengers. The agreement will see e-hailing drivers only be allowed to drop off and pick up passengers outside the malls unless they are transporting elderly or disabled passengers. But Ledwaba says this will put passengers at risk, especially the elderly.

"So it's not a solution, you're putting more risk on our passengers, the elderly. Now they're gonna become victims of being robbed while they're waiting for e-hailing cars to pick them up," he said.
