I quit Instagram and Facebook and it made me a lot happier — and that's a big problem for social media companies

You can turn off all emails and notifications from Facebook. I did it years ago. I still have an account to check on a couple groups who announce events there. I look at FB once a month. That's more than enough.

I’m a retired programmer and quit Facebook in July 2014. I left Zuckerberg a letter of discontent, asking that he stop the negative feed research. Pretty sure he did *not* read my comments. Never been sorry that I deleted Facebook.
