AfriForum wants apartheid flag ban case thrown out of court

The Nelson Mandela Foundation says the old flag is a symbol of what the United Nations says are crimes against humanity and that its public display celebrates that crime.

AfriForum is leading the backlash against the move. The parties are squaring it off in the Equality Court in Johannesburg. There’s now a tug-of-war between the Nelson Mandela Foundation and groups that want to preserve the flag. The organisation’s lawyer Mark Oppenheimer rejects assertion that using the apartheid flag constitutes hate speech.

That's the problem with tooo much democracy. SA wanted Mugabe in 1994 to deal with this nonsense.

There's no need to ban the SA Apartheid flag, just a new rainbow nation we have to keep this flag inside Museum so that next generation can learn about it. This was our flag while we don't have flag so now we have it then let's keep the old one inside museum
