CREDIT cards have become a financial tool in modern society as they offer a convenient way to make purchases, whether in-store or online, and manage expenses.

'But not all credit cards are created equal. Your credit card may offer greater convenience, but the more important thing is: does it also have robust security measures, so you don't fall prey to fraudulent transactions or scams?' EastWest Bank Senior Vice President and Credit Cards Business Head Aylwin Herminia Tamayo said.

EastWest has successfully integrated mobile NFC and tokenization technology, enabling users of an NFC-powered Android smartphone to experience faster, more convenient, and secure payment processes at Point of Sale terminals.EastWest also enabled credit cardholders to securely access their account even while even on-the-go. Through the EasyWay app, they can use biometrics, check their credit card balance, view and download their statement of accounts, pay bills, among other things.
