Some third-party dealers who spoke with Business Insider said they've been told explicitly to sell more non-DirecTV products.

. AT&T for its part told Business Insider that DirecTV dealers can now sell other AT&T services, like internet and wireless.

A Tennessee-based dealer who's been selling DirecTV for seven years said he used to make about $4,800 in a good month selling DirecTV packages. Over the past half a year, he's been lucky to make $2,000 a month. A Clear Home dealer stationed in Ohio said he makes up to $1,000 in sales in a good week but that his sales have declined in recent months as the selling process has gotten more complicated.

"DirecTV is soon to be a thing of the past," said the dealer."Over the past six months, it seems like everyone is leaving. People think we won't have jobs."Three of the four dealers who spoke with Business Insider also said they've witnessed or participated in more unethical or fraudulent activity in recent months.
