Twelve people were killed and two others were injured in a collision on the R622 between the Mooi-River Toll plaza and Greytown in the midlands.
In another accident six members of uMkhonto Wesizwe Party, lost their lives in a taxi crash on the R74 Kranskop Road also in the midlands of KZN. The taxi was travelling from Estcourt to Nkandla when the driver lost control causing it to overturn.
