A G4S worker who stole almost £1 million from the company van he was driving blew £1,400 at JD Sports the day after the theft, a court has heard.

The blue armoured van, emblazoned with G4S logos, sat on a double yellow line on Larkhall Rise, Clapham, for eight hours before police were alerted, The Sun reported at the time.’s elite Flying Squad unit launched an investigation and March was arrested on suspicion of theft in Brixton, south London, the following day.

At a hearing at Inner London Crown Court today, prosecutor Alex Agbamu said £880,000 of the money is still missing and unaccounted for.
