Liverpool Council

Liverpool City Council recently extended the market's stay due to popularity

Liverpool City Council has confirmed Stanley Park Market is cancelled on Wednesday, September 11. The decision comes 'due to inclement weather conditions.' The market, which began with around 50 stalls, has quickly grown to host over 100 stalls each week , offering a diverse array of goods, including fresh produce and gifts, with some traders reporting record-breaking sales.

The market launched in July for an initial seven-week trial but has now been extended due to its popularity and success. On the decision to extend the market instead of making it a permanent fixture, a spokesperson for Liverpool City Council said: 'Due to the success of the Stanley Park Market , the Council is committed to making it a regular feature in the city’s market calendar, with the intention of it eventually becoming permanent.
