Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has called on sugar industry leaders and players from various sugar federations to put aside their differences and work together to address the challenges currently facing the sector, particularly the recent drop in sugar prices. Lacson emphasized that the current situation in the sugar industry will have a significant impact on the Negros economy in 2025.
'The year that has passed was marked by significant achievements that brought pride to our province. Among these, we were honored to once again receive the Seal of Good Local Governance — a testament to our collective efforts in promoting good governance, transparency, and excellence in public service.' Lacson also highlighted the province’s accomplishments in disaster preparedness, healthcare, and environmental stewardship, which earned the province various accolades.
