At last our cries are being heard

Every single day dogs and cats are killed and abandoned in Italy, Sicily especially. No one cares, shelters are council run and look like concentration camps, horror is part of everyday life.Kids are taught to kill, torture animals.

Is it rescue when westerners (me included) think eating a dog is horrendous but when it's their culture, and accepted among some as a traditional albeit not widely practiced or popular thing? Put it in full context first, then decide.
