MANILA, Philippines -- A point guard better known for his superb defense joined an exclusive list of sharp-shooters on Monday night, as San Miguel's Chris Ross torched Rain or Shine for a stunning 10 3-pointers.
"I cannot believe, especially Chris Ross, on his shooting. I think ano eh, 'yung spirit ni Marcio Lassiter napapunta sa kanya ngayon, siya naging shooter namin," said Austria. "Because if you put in all that work, all that extra hours, and you get to the game and don’t trust it? All those hours go to waste. So for me, it’s just trusting the work and just keeps not letting a miss push me away from shooting the ball," he added.
"'You would've beat my record'," Ross said of Lassiter's text message after the game. "But I'm good with just being at 10 as long as we win."
